In the secular world, Nicolosi has also been a popular guest speaker and presenter at a variety of venues around the United States. As a singer, she traveled extensively for twenty years, performing leading roles on opera stages to critical acclaim.

Though now retired from the stage, Niemerg, resides in Colorado Springs with her husband and two children where she continues teaching, conducting, public speaking and blogging.

In Spring of 2022, Niemerg published her first work of fiction, Elly Uncomposed which has nothing whatsoever to do with singing in Church, but is available just about anywhere you can click.
